Frondescence Garden Design and Planting Design

Creating gardens which are beautiful, easy to maintain and attract wildlife to your garden is my focus. I want you to be able to appreciate and use your garden all year round and be able to see your garden shifting through the seasons.

I design small urban gardens through to mid-sized rural gardens in and around Bristol, Somerset and the Cotswolds. With a passion for thinking about solutions to help you unfurl the potential of the space you have I blend this with a contemporary style of garden design and planting design, with a focus on sustainability and intentional choices at each stage.

I offer three ways to work with me - a garden consultation to help you with ideas so you can create your own garden, planting design to help you make an existing border or new border bring year round interest, and a full garden design service to provide you with all the ideas, planting plans and scaled site designs ready for you to pass to a landscaper of your choosing.

Unfurl - Garden Consultation

Unfurl is a garden consultation to help you unfurl the potential of your garden. In the consultation we’ll gather your ideas, walk round your garden and see what else you could do in the space you have. I’ll make suggestions and share concept and zonal ideas of what you could do without having to redesign the whole space.

Bloom - Planting Design

Bloom is a planting design service for small to medium sized gardens, courtyards, and outdoor spaces.

We will work together to understand a colour palette, a look and feel of your planting you would like to have within your existing borders and containers. I’ll create mood boards and bespoke planting designs for the spaces you have.
