An invitation from the season - Late Summer
The harvest season begins in August. We notice leaves maturing, crops being gathered, fruits and berries ripening, and seeds beginning to form. Throughout the season I’m sharing a question inspired by what’s happening in nature, inviting you to pause, notice and connect with the wisdom and rhythms of the season.
During this shift into late summer you’re invited to think about this prompt:
🌾 What am I ready to harvest?
I invite you to think about all the parts of you and your life. You could reflect on your personal life, your work-life, your career, and the areas of your life which are most important to you. Hold the question with a sense of curiosity and know what you are harvesting will look different depending on the season of your life.
Holding this question with different perspectives can help you explore it in a variety of ways. I invite you to think about the details in your life considering the day to day, and the bigger picture perspectives from the year, and see what you notice and what you feel as you think about this question.
You can also explore this question by thinking about experiences you’ve had, and perhaps the rhythms in your life.
If you want to go deeper here are a few questions you can use to support you:
What I am not ready to harvest?
What experiences are worth harvesting and collecting wisdom from?
What am I doing with my harvest?
What can I do with my harvest to nourish and sustain me?
These questions are designed purposefully to encourage you to come away from the screen.
Make a note of the question/s and create some space to think. You could take 5 minutes to think one whilst making a drink, you could take a question on a walk or to think about when you’re outside, or you could talk about it with someone else. Writing your reflections down can help you explore this question more deeply and help you document your thoughts.
What’s this late summer season inviting you to notice?
