May Simple Pleasures
Simple pleasures for me are the simple things, the glimmers, and the gentle moments of connection with nature which can help us to elevate how we experience life everyday. When we start to notice more of the small things which feel joyful in our day to day they can start to add together to create a feeling which tops us up, helps cultivate more intentionality in life and support our wellness and joy.
One persons simple pleasure may be different to some one else and this is what I love, our uniqueness of experiences of the world around us and during different phases in our life.
Each month I love to think about what I’ve been doing during the month, I look back at the photos I’ve taken, the experiences I’ve had and my day to day. The simple pleasures I tend to note down are the small moments I want to remember and the connection I’ve made with the season. Each year the experience of the month and the season can shift, we notice different things, our time is occupied with different things and we seek out different moments. Capturing the memories of the season is a rhythm I love to build into each month and it helps me connect with the gratitude I feel every day.
May has been a warm month, we’ve had a holiday away during the May school holiday and the garden has been filled with peonies about to bloom. I’ve been loving sinking into the springtime joys and making the most of the spring season and noticing the growth in our garden.
